KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Management

• Manage a team of 6 permanent staff including editors and runners.

• To employ freelancers and negotiate rates and payments.

• Manage the workflow of all post production jobs coming through the system

• Delegate jobs amongst the various editors according to the experience and time management needed

• Oversee editors uploading all commercials to IMD

• To be on hand on the playout days to liaise with the VT department of IMD in case of any QC issues

• To have an understanding of relevant technologies and equipment and liaise with technical support company, as and when necessary

Project Management

• Update and manage the Post Production schedule and relevant sections of the weekly status report

• Arrange bookings of all voice over artists and audio studio time

• To provide Timing Plans for all upcoming localisation jobs

• To provide accurate budget estimates for all miscellaneous jobs

Initially you will be working with one other full-time developer and one product manager, and this team will expand fairly rapidly over the next year.

The company almost exclusively uses the CakePHP framework and familiarity with this or a similar MVC framework is important. Generally they use agile practices such as continuous prototyping, "just build it" and TDD.
