Albino United  Channel 4

Over the last few years, more than 50 albinos have been murdered in Tanzania, including children and babies as young as six months old.

Many more have been attacked with machetes and have had their limbs cut off. In this film the establishment of Albino United demonstrate that attitudes in Tanzania to people with albinism must change and the killings must stop.

This extraordinary film was produced by multi award-winning filmmaker Nick Broomfield and directed by Marc Hoeferlin, Barney Broomfield and Juan Reina.

Ash Jenkins was the editor and the team used Roundtable Films for the facilities dry hire.

The 30 Day Feature Film Challenge brings “CLOSURE” to Sundance 2010

On November 20th, 2009 three young film makers set themselves a unique, and grueling, challenge: to make a 90-minute feature film – from initial concept to end of production – in just 30 days.  On December 20, 2009, 30 days after announcing the challenge  on their website, www.30dayfeaturefilmchallenge.com, they triumphantly wrapped production on “Closure”, a dark tale of revenge and redemption.

Their new mission: To sell the film by the end of the Sundance Film Festival on February 1!   The new challenge sounds daunting, but this spirited group will not be deterred.

Democracy In Flames

Blueberry Director Taimur Khan premieres his most recent documentary film Democracy in Flames on July 27th at 7pm at the Frontline Club.

Following socialist leader and pro-democracy activist Taimur Rehman, 'Democracy in Flames' offers a unique insight into the struggle for democracy in Pakistan. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Taimur Rehman and Director Taimur Khan.
