Blueberry attends the first London FCP User Group Supermeet!
The 1st Annual London FCPUG SuperMeet took place on Thurs, June 25th 2009.
Oscar™ and BAFTA award winning film and sound editor, Walter Murch, was Keynote speaker and presented his methods on the craft of editing 'Tetro', written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola
Delighted to bump into several Blueberry editors, we enjoyed the special privilege of a guided tour through Murch's edit suite, tools and creative processes. Brilliantly the presentation is being released online in parts each week for all to enjoy — parts 1 & 2 are already online.
You can sign up to the LAFCPUG for regular updates on Supermeets and future guest presentations.
NB: The next SuperMeet will take place in Amsterdam on Sunday 12th September, alongside the International Broadcasting Convention.
SuperMeets are gatherings of Final Cut Pro editors, gurus and Mac-based digital filmmakers from throughout the world who use or want to learn to use Apple's Final Cut Studio suite of applications, most importantly Final Cut Pro.
SuperMeets are held annually alongside large trade shows such as Macworld in San Francisco, NAB in Las Vegas, IBC in Amsterdam and this year as a standalone event in London. The agenda usually includes appearances by Apple, demos of new products, digital video tips and tricks, and filmmaker show and tells, including an FCP Showcase with vendors and small developers who will be showing off their solutions for digital filmmakers
The next SuperMeet will take place in Amsterdam on Sunday 12th September 2009, alongside the International Broadcasting Convention.
